The longer, thinner connection attaches to the handheld shower head and sits in the shower bracket mount. If installed backwards, the shower hose may not fit in the mount. This shower bracket WORKS WITH ALL HANDHELD SHOWER HEADS, but you have to install the shower hose correctly.
